Sac City Unified mobilizes food program for kids in the summer
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento City Unified School District has mobilized a food program for the summer to make sure kids don’t go hungry.
Central Kitchen is working with the district to provide a mobile food pantry for anyone in the Sacramento community. Its first stop was at A.M. Winn Elementary School on Wednesday.
The curbside, grab-and-go mobile food pantry is available at five SCUSD locations starting July 5 through Aug. 18, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
