SCUSD Rolls Out Food Truck for Free Breakfast
Sacramento Unified School District has rolled out its food truck to kick it off. The school district Central Kitchen Food Truck is serving fresh, healthy and free breakfast to all students. It will rotate between eight different Middle schools. California Middle school was the first to get the free breakfast and we talked with the principal of the school. He tells us how this program will help students succeed. Only about 150 or so 200 macs eat breakfast in the morning out of the 800 kids. So we need to make sure that kids eat so they can get that glucose level higher so they can get energy, so they can function, so they can focus, so they can be successful.
