SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
Every year, for one evening in September, Sacramento’s Tower Bridge shuts down to traffic. Crews line the entire bridge with tables and chairs, and hundreds of diners take their seats for the annual Tower Bridge Dinner. They’re served several courses of farm fresh food, picked straight from the fields surrounding the capital city.
The dinner is a special event honoring the region’s chefs and farmworkers, and organizers say it’s also about coming together as a community and showing pride for its focus on agriculture. Read more …
